People preparing to deck the halls took part in a wreath-making workshop at Monticello Saturday morning.
A bounty of vegetables, fruits and other plants are harvested from Thomas Jefferson's gardens throughout the year especially for wreath-making.
People chose from berries and dried flowers to weave into their own creations.
The workshops have been a staple of the holiday season at Monticello for 30 years.
“We've had mother-daughter combinations come repeatedly,” said workshop instructor Janet Miller. “Some as long as 20 years.”
The wreath-making workshops continue until December 8.
