Last-Minute Shoppers Hit Grocery Stores in Charlottesville
Last-minute shoppers hit the grocery stores Thursday - but not for deals. Shoppers who forgot that one ingredient they needed for the perfect Thanksgiving dish were out in Charlottesville throughout the day.
Thursday, Whole Foods in Charlottesville was just one spot full of shoppers picking up final items. One shopper says she had to make a special trip to the store for one dinner guest.
"I am cooking vegetarian and my dad really wanted some turkey, so we came to get some prepared meats here to supplement our dinner tonight,” said Deb Triant, a shopper.
"We are also getting energy drinks, trying to stay awake for the rest of the day, but food wise we have some brine we are going to make for the turkey, so grabbing some of that too,” said Georgette Msambo, a shopper.
Many of the grocery stores in the area are closed Thursday night, but if you still need a few last minute items Walmart does not close Thursday.
