Charlottesville's Salvation Army Serves Up Thanksgiving Meal
Salvation Army potluck dinner
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
People in Charlottesville a little down on their luck found a welcome table at the Salvation Army Thursday. Volunteers came together to offer a warm meal to their neighbors in need.
One man who received a meal says the Salvation Army is a unique and wonderful haven for many people. He is looking for a job, and is glad to have this community in the interim.
"It's a great organization to take care of the people that are homeless and are looking for work and everything. You know, we're all looking for work now because it's cold outside. We live outside, you know but we have to put up with it,” said Donald Bramble.
Bramble came to Charlottesville from Seattle, and he says he feels there are more services here that he can rely on, and he's thankful for it.
