UVa Women's Soccer Aims for First College Cup in 22 Years
The Virginia women's soccer team will host Michigan on Friday night in the NCAA tournament quarterfinals.
The Wahoo women will try to punch their first ticket to the College Cup in 22 years.
The Cavaliers have been dominant in their first three games of the NCAA tournament, outscoring their opponents 8-0 and outshooting them 66-5.
The 'Hoos are coming off a 2-0 win over Wake Forest and now hope to advance to the College Cup for the first time under coach Steve Swanson.
"I personally have never been there," said UVa Forward Danielle Colaprico. "I think it would be awesome if our team got there and we're all very excited for the game Friday.
Senior defender Morgan Stith added, "I think if we just keep the ball and we're sharp with our passes and use the flanks to get good crosses so that our midfielder and forwards can get on top of it, I think that will be the key to us winning this weekend."
Kickoff is set for 7 PM at Klockner Stadium.
