Charlottesville homeowners who sign up for an energy-saving inspection will help fund activities in one city school.
The Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) is donating $10 from each home energy inspection in the Frys Spring and Jackson-Via school neighborhoods to the elementary school's parent-teacher organization.
The $35 checkup will help homeowners find ways to save energy and money while supporting programs for teachers and students.
Jackson-Via PTO President Inessa Telefus said, “We wanted to do something that would focus on Jackson-Via families, on our neighborhood, community, and environment. So, when we heard about the LEAP fundraiser, we thought it answered all our priorities.”
The inspections begin December 9.
