#25 JMU Comeback Comes Up Short

Michael Birdsong threw for 355 yards and five touchdowns, but the #25 James Madison football team lost 41-38 Saturday at home against Stony Brook.

The loss on Senior Day drops the Dukes to 6-5 on the season.

JMU fell behind 31-10 in the 2nd quarter, and the comeback came up short when the Dukes were unable to get the ball back after cutting the lead to three with 4:57 to play.

Dae'Quan Scott carried the ball 16 times for 57 yards, and has rushed for over 1,000 yards this season.

Scott had four catches for 92 yards receiving against the Seawolves.

James Madison will play its final game of the season Saturday at 3:30 at Towson.
