The Virginia men's soccer team rallied from a two goal deficit in the second half to tie top-seeded Notre Dame 3-3 and later beat them in a PK shootout to advance to the ACC Championship Sunday.

The #6 seeded Cavaliers (10-4-5) scored two goals in the final six minutes of regulation to force extra time before winning the shootout, 4-3, over the second-seeded Fighting Irish (12-1-6).

Marcus Salandy-Defour scored a goal and added an assist, while Todd Wharton and Nicko Corriveau also put away goals for the Cavaliers.

Virginia goalkeeper Calle Brown had four saves and stopped two of five shots in the shootout.

The Wahoos will face Maryland Sunday at 2 PM in the ACC Championship.  UVa will be going for their 11th ACC championship and will play for the title for the first time since 2009.
