The NBC 29/Kroger Tailgate Party will be at Monticello Friday night for the first round of the high school football playoffs.

The Mustangs will host Rustburg in their first game.

The teams have never played during the regular season, but Monticello did beat the Devils 35-20 in a scrimmage before the start of this year.

Rustburg is averaging 25-points per game this season.

The Mustangs are scoring more than 43, and they'll be playing at home.

Monticello head coach Jeff Woody says, "We know what to expect.  This is Game 11.  We've been through ten of them.  We've played six of them at home.  Our kids know what to expect.  They've got goals, and in order to achieve those goals, we've got to focus."

Monticello and Rustburg kick-off Friday at seven o'clock.
