A neighbor of a house in Stuarts Draft many say looks more like a junkyard again asked the Augusta County Board of Supervisors to do something about it.
Scotti Troxell wants her neighbor's yard cleaned up and an ordinance created to prevent the issue from happening again.
After visiting the property, Augusta County attorney Pat Morgan says it's a mess, but he doesn't think he can prove it's a health violation.
"The ordinance that we've got compared with the statutes, the enabling statutes in the Code of Virginia and they match verbatim, so I don't know that there's anything we can do to amend them, to make them any more helpful,” Morgan said.
Supervisors voted 7 to 0 for the ordinance committee to look at it.
The county intends to mow the grass and possibly place a lien on the property.
