Greater Good Technology Launches Fundraising Campaign
Greater Good Technology
A new program in Charlottesville needs your help to give the poor and homeless training to find jobs. Greater Good Technology has launched a campaign to raise $10,000 between Veterans Day and Christmas.
According to their official website, Greater Good Technology is "a new ministry developed by Catholic Web Services to help give disadvantaged people access and training in technology."
The funds will be used for computer and Internet training and to provide some hardware so that people without means can compete for work.
“What we've done is use Google technology, which is very affordable to people, and to have a Google Chrome Book, which is small laptop computer which is about $200, and all of the free apps which are out there,” said John Clem of Catholic Web Services.
Training is also offered on resume creation. For more information, click here.
