The Red Cross is helping a Charlottesville family of seven after a fire forced them out of their home.
The fire started in a bedroom of a Friendship Court apartment on Garrett Street around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames. No one was hurt.
The Red Cross is helping the adult and six children who lived in the apartment.
The Charlottesville fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
