Charlottesville Church, Nonprofits Collect Donations for Syrian Refugees
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
A Charlottesville church plans to send help across the world to Syrian refugees displaced by the ongoing civil war there.
The refugees of the Syrian civil war are mostly on their own. There is no large-scale organized effort to house, clothe, and feed them. Now, they may see some help from Charlottesville.
The All Saints Church in Charlottesville is partnering with two nonprofits to collect donations. One of the partner organizations is the Christian Aid Mission, which sends 100 percent of its donations to indigenous churches in Syria and surrounding countries.
This Sunday, a representative from Christian Aid Mission will speak between services at All Saints Church to raise awareness.
