Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA Hosts Kitten Happy Hour

Posted: Updated:

The Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA is hosting a Kitten Happy Hour at cut-rate prices. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. every day, the adoption fee is only $10. Normally it's $95.

The fee includes a free medical exam, vaccinations, deworming, spaying or neutering, and chipping.

The SPCA says spending the $10 and adopting can actually be good for you.

“Adopting a pet has been shown to carry a lot of health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, tend to live longer, and their mental health tends to be better when they have a pet at home,” said Lisa Lane, SPCA director of marketing.

There are currently 60 kittens waiting for a human to give them a home, and that doesn't count the ones in foster care.

The Kitten Happy Hour is every day through November 10.
