The season of giving is just around the corner, but one group is already in the spirit. Operation Christmas Child is at the Chick-fil-A off Route 29 in Albemarle County Tuesday night.

Their mission is to help children around the world. The group asks people to fill shoe boxes with toys so underprivileged children can have something to open on Christmas. This past year, the group collected over 100 million boxes nationwide.

"They start saying, "Well hold it, why are you giving this to me?" No questions asked, it's there. It's cause it's love, that's what it is,” said Gray Hill, local volunteer.

The volunteers will be at the Chick-fil-A until 7 p.m. and will be back on November 12 to pick up the filled boxes. Chick-fil-A has also promised anyone who takes a box and brings it back a free chicken sandwich.
