The Red Cross is helping out a family of seven in Charlottesville who needs another place to stay because their house caught fire.
Firefighters were called to 372 Riverside Avenue around 1:30 Monday afternoon. Dense black smoke was billowing from the home when they arrived.
No one was injured but the house has extensive fire damage in the basement and smoke damage throughout.
Investigators say the fire was started by a child playing with a lighter.
