Augusta Teen Could Face Charges for Threatening Tweet

An Augusta County teen could face criminal charges for something he tweeted. The school resource officer for Stuarts Draft High School, Damien Fink, says he was tipped off last Friday about a conversation on Twitter between two teens.
One of the teens allegedly threatened to harm a school official. According to Fink, the conversation started out as a prank, but quickly turned serious.
"You have to take the situation seriously due to the past as far as school violence. So you have to take it seriously. You have to take it that's it's possible that it will actually take place. You can't just ignore it," he said.
School officials wouldn't say what the disciplinary action against either student would be. The father of the other teen who didn't make the threat said his son was suspended, but is now back in school.
