UVa Football Safety Harris Tied For Most Interceptions in the Nation
UVa football safety Anthony Harris is tied for the national lead in interceptions with five so far this season.
The Virginia junior had two of those picks in the Cavaliers 35-25 loss to Georgia Tech Saturday.
The 'Hoos forced five turnovers against the Yellow Jackets but weren't able to turn any of them into points.
Harris says while its nice to see his stats up, he'd rather see his team win. Harris said, "I don't really think about myself. I just do whatever I can to help my team win. Whether that's interceptions, tackles, motivating guys or just anything I can do on the field. My main focus is just my team right now, not really my individual accomplishments."
"He is one of the toughest guys on our team," said UVa Head Coach Mike London. "He gets guys lined up. He's involved in a lot of tackles. Just does a great job running the defense."
