Virginia Volleyball Tops Notre Dame 3-1

The Virginia volleyball team beat visiting Notre Dame 3-1 Sunday at Memorial Gymnasium.

The Fighting Irish won the first set 25-23, but the 'Hoos rallied with three straight win ( 25-17, 25-15 and 25-23).

With the win, the Cavaliers have won back-to-back ACC matches for the first time since 2011.

UVa (12-10, 5-5 ACC) was led with 22 kills from junior Tori Janowski.

Senior Emily Rottman recorded 15 digs, and moved into a tie with Whitney Ashcraft (2000-03) for third place on the Wahoos career digs list with 1,603.

Virginia returns to action at Georgia Tech Friday.
