Trial Date Set for Staunton Man Charged with Murder

Posted: Updated:

Staunton's first murder case in more than two years is headed to trial. Steven Glenn Moore, 61, is accused of killing his estranged wife's boyfriend.

Police say the two got into a physical fight at the victim's home and that it escalated to a fatal shooting in the front yard back in March.

The grand jury met this week, and a date for the trial was set for next month. Moore is facing a first-degree murder charge.

Moore is scheduled to appear in Staunton Circuit Court on November 13 at 9:30 a.m.
