With exactly two weeks until Election Day, the governor's race is kicking into overdrive.

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz and statewide leaders were in Charlottesville Tuesday stumping for Terry McAullife and the Democratic ticket.

The event focused heavily on women's issues, calling Ken Cuccinelli's leadership an assault on women's rights and anti-family.

"Understand that when it comes to a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions that the government doesn't need to get all up in her business, that women need to be able to make our own decisions and we don't need the government telling us how and when we can make those choices," said Wasserman Shultz.

Party leaders went on to say that extremism is to blame for the near disaster in Washington.

Election Day is November 5.
