Three-Star Cornerback Darious Latimore Commits to UVA
The University of Virginia football team is looking for good news anywhere it can find it these days and the 'Hoos got some Monday afternoon on the recruiting trail. Virginia got a verbal commitment from 3-star defensive back Darious Latimore from Georgia. Latimore chose UVA over Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
Latimore was at Saturday's game when the 'Hoos blew a 22-point lead and gave up 35 unanswered points in a 35-22 loss.
Latimore said he was impressed with how the team responded in the locker room after the tough loss.
According to CavsCorner, Latimore said, "It's always easy after you win but I think it said a lot about them with how they handled it after losing...You can always see a team win but how often do you get to see them after a loss?"
Latimore says both the school and location really sold him. He told Cavscorner, "I wasn't really expecting to commit but it turns out that I felt that this was the right place to be...I really loved how the campus is set up, I loved how much history there is and everything. I love the players, even though I'm just a recruit, they welcomed me into the family with open arms."
