Buford Middle Students Showcase Handmade Art

Posted: Updated:

Students at Buford Middle School are showcasing their newest piece of handmade art.

Friday, students took a tour of all the newly hung mobile projects around the school. The students made four mobiles - each one 8 to 10 feet wide.

They had some firsthand help on the projects from a traveling artist in residence Kevin Reece.

"We first found out about mobiles when we went to a play earlier this week on Monday and the play was fantastic and we were just so excited to get hands-on inside and do what he did on stage," said Kiki Dowell, student council president.

Three of the mobiles line Buford Middle Schools hallways and one is hanging in the lobby of Smith Aquatic and Fitness Center.
