Arrest Made Following August Raid in Greene

A Greene County man is being held without bond on pot-growing charges.

Edward L. Deane was taken into custody Wednesday morning. The charges trace back to an August raid where investigators say they removed $665,000 worth of marijuana from a home on Dunnes Shop Road.

Deane is charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a fortified drug house and simultaneous possession of firearms and schedule I or II drugs.

On October 16, 2013 the Blue Ridge Task Force arrested Edward L. Deane. Mr. Deane has been taken before a magistrate and held without bond. He has been charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a fortified drug house and simultaneous possession of firearms and schedule I or II drugs.

The charges stem from a search warrant executed at Mr. Deane's residence in Greene County on August 29, 2013.
