It's not just the candidates getting down and dirty this campaign season. Wednesday in Richmond, Democrat Terry McAuliffe's wife Dorothy joined five former first ladies to help preschool students plant vegetables.
Mrs. McAuliffe says if her husband wins on Election Day, she'll rely on the women who came before her for support.
"They're wonderful role models, and have been great, wonderful mentors and would continue to be so. I know I could draw on their experience," said Dorothy McAuliffe.
McAuliffe says she and her husband are working tirelessly to encourage voters to cast a ballot next month. Election Day is November 5.
