Cville Beauty Store Holds Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research
Some folks in Charlottesville are sporting a new look Sunday and their styles are raising money for breast cancer research.
The Ulta beauty store in Barracks Road Shopping Center joined the company's third national Salon Cut-A-Thon Sunday. People could get their hair cut, microzone skin service, or pink hair extensions for a minimum $10 donation.
"I think a lot of people and their families are affected by this and I think that it's something very relevant today," said salon manager Jennifer Snoddy.
All of the proceeds from Sunday's Cut-A-Thon will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Last year nationwide, Ulta raised about $250,000 through the event.
