Arts and Crafts Festival in Crozet Draws Thousands
A popular festival attracted thousands of art and wine lovers to western Albemarle County this weekend.
The 33rd Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival brought between 6,000 and 8,000 people to Claudius Crozet Park.
Visitors of all ages scanned the exhibits and indulged in food and drinks from local vendors. The festival also highlighted Crozet's history.
"We have the horse and buggies this fall because the draft horse and horse has been so important in our local history and we have the red haired kid contest because we have such a high population of Scotch Irish here," said Leslie Burns, the festival director.
Arts and crafts festivals are the only fundraiser to support Claudius Crozet Park. Proceeds will go toward maintenance and improvements.
