Henley Middle Students Take Anti-Bullying Stand on "Unity Day"
Students at Henley Middle School in Albemarle are taking a stand against bullying. Wednesday, they wore special T-shirts and ribbons to emphasize the importance of bullying prevention.
School leaders say students are very active in several anti-bullying practices, and incidents have dropped in number.
"Today we asked the kids to wear orange in remembrance that kids can be helpers and that we're here, adults are here, to listen to their concerns and help them be more comfortable at school," said Jason Crutchfield, assistant principal.
Henley Middle School called this "Unity Day." The event was in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month.
