You can do your part to help honor fallen public safety officers in Virginia - all by eating a slice of pizza.

CiCi's Pizza of Charlottesville is sponsoring a "Public Safety Day" on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Ten percent of the proceeds will help build a public safety memorial for the commonwealth of Virginia.

Virginia is one of five states that does not have a memorial to honor fallen public safety workers. The number of fallen safety workers is currently over 800.

Once fundraising goals are met, a memorial will be built on state capitol grounds.
