An outbreak of the feline parvovirus has the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center turning away cats.
The center is not accepting any cat drop-offs until October 21, giving it time to disinfect the facility.
The cat area is closed to the public and adoptions are limited, but the center says it is taking and adopting out dogs.
In the meantime, anyone with inquiries regarding the care of injured cats is encouraged to call local animal control services.
