'Hoos Vow to Put Together 'Complete Game' Against Maryland
UVa football coach Mike London and some of the Wahoo players say the team needs to put together a complete game on Saturday against Maryland.
The Virginia offense had struggled for much of the season which included only scoring three points in a game at Pittsburgh. This past weekend, the Cavalier offense played fairly well scoring 27 points, but the UVa defense gave up 48 points to Ball State.
Virginia had 13 penalties for 93 yards against Ball State. The 'Hoos are now 2-3 on the season after back to back loses.
Virginia head coach, Mike London says, "Obviously when you lose two game that we think we should have won but for lack of our ability to do whatever each game presented its self, not getting points at Pitt, not getting points after turnovers, now this game not being able to stop the run and getting points and being productive on offense. Our main focus is to put a complete game together offense, defense and special teams."
UVa sophomore defensive end Eli Harold says, "it's a humbling experience, defense doing great all year, offense not so well. The offense to me did great on Saturday, they did all they could do. Everything's not going to go your way, but we have yet to play a full game as a team, and hopefully this Saturday we'll have a total team effort."
Virginia's game at Maryland Saturday kicks off at 3:30. The Terps have a record of 4-1 but are coming off 63-0 loss to Florida State.
