After more than a week of testimony in the case against Taybronne White, the jury returned guilty verdicts on three murder charges and several other felonies.
After five hours of deliberation the jury found White guilty of 10 felony counts including three counts of murder: one in the first degree for the death of Lisa Hwang, and two in the second degree for the deaths of Brian Lee Daniels and Dustin Knighton. White was also found guilty of several lesser felonies including attempted robbery.
Investigators say White shot and killed the three in May 2011 after a botched home invasion and robbery gone wrong on Ford Avenue, just over a mile away from where their bodies were found on Octonia Road.
After the verdicts were read, his family told him repeatedly, "It's going to be OK." The family left visibly shaken and some were crying.
The jury will return to Greene County Court Tuesday morning to go through the sentencing phase.
