A Charlottesville seventh-grader has launched a one-of-a-kind technology project.
With some help from her parents, 12-year-old Maya Nguyen-Tuong spent the last four months building iPad apps that dictate three classic fables in seven languages. The family used funds from a Kickstarter project to hire native speakers to read and record the fables.
Maya designed all the artwork herself and says she learned a lot from the project.
"A lot of the phrases are really catchy, so around the house we find ourselves saying them and it was just cool meeting everyone," she said.
