Judge Rules on Jury Instructions for Taybronne White Murder Trial
The court wrapped up its rulings on jury instructions and other matters in a triple murder case in Greene County. The Taybronne White trial entered its ninth day Friday.
The court made final rulings Friday on the instructions the jury will hear to decide whether White is guilty or innocent and any punishment he may receive.
Investigators say White shot and killed Brian Lee Daniels, Dustin Knighton and Lisa Hwang in May 2011. Police say he killed them after a botched home invasion and robbery gone wrong on Ford Avenue, just over a mile away from where their bodies were found on Octonia Road. He faces 11 felony charges.
White turned himself into police a few days after the crimes happened but now contends he is innocent.
Attorneys on both sides estimate closing arguments will take about 3 hours total.
Court has concluded for the day and the jury will hear those arguments and instructions Monday when court picks back up.
