Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office Press Release
The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Jefferson Area Crimestoppers, is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for credible information that leads to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person or persons involved in the armed robbery of Kidds Store on the night of 09/25/2013. Investigators believe at least 2, perhaps more, persons were involved in the offense. It is further believed that the offenders had a "get away" vehicle parked in a parking lot behind the store. If anyone was in the area of Kidds Store, located at the intersection of West River Road and Kidds Dairy Road in southeastern Fluvanna, the night of 09/25/2013 between 9:30 and 10:30 PM and saw any suspicious vehicles or persons behind the store, or you have any information on this or other crimes, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 434-977-4000. The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred the night of 09/25/2013 at Kidd's Store near Scottsville in Fluvanna County. Around 10:20 PM two armed individuals approached the store. One male entered the store, brandished a pistol, and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. A second male armed with a shotgun remained outside the store and confronted a patron in the parking lot. The two men fled on foot. One suspect is currently in custody. His name is being withheld due to the ongoing investigation.
