CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - The Culpeper County Board of Supervisors has filed a complaint with the state bar against a prosecutor who called most of the board members corrupt.
The Free Lance-Star reports that in a Sept. 12 email to about a dozen people, Frederick praised two supervisors for opposing funding for a new Sheriff's Office building. She said those two lost the battle "due to incompetent and corrupt members of the board."
Supervisor Steve Walker said Tuesday he doesn't mind some insults, but being called corrupt bothers him.
The board also voted 5-2 Tuesday to demand that Commonwealth's Attorney Megan Frederick retract her statement within five days.
Frederick called the supervisors' action an attempt to intimidate anyone willing to point out their deficiencies.
