The Hokie Football team had three guys earn ACC honors this week.
Guard, Andrew Miller was named the offensive lineman of the week, freshman cornerback Brandon Facyson was named the rookie of the week, and senior defensive tackle Derrick Hopkins was named the ACC defensive lineman of the week.
Hopkins had a team high seven tackles including a key stop on 4th down late in the game.
Hopkins and the Hokie defense held Georgia Tech to just 129 yards rushing, more than 200 yards below their average in the 17-10 Virginia Tech win.
Miller, a senior, played all 55 offensive snaps, grading out at 87 percent with 11 knockdowns in the win.
Facsyon, a true freshman, had three tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, an interception and two pass breakups in front of a crowd just 30 miles from his hometown, Newnan, Georgia.
