Augusta Haunted Attraction Opens, Benefits Camp LIGHT
Starting Friday you can help children with special needs by enjoying a good old-fashioned scare.
The haunted attraction 'Twisted Creationz' opens Friday on 528 Rock Mountain Lane in Crimora for its 13th year. The managers say its all good family fun and the proceeds will benefit Camp LIGHT, a new summer program created for children with special needs.
Aside from the optical illusions and startle-scares, it has added catacombs inside a cemetery.
Scott Balsley, the owner of Twisted Creationz said, "We're excited. We love seeing it. We're out here many many weeks ahead of time at night working on all the lighting and the sound effects and to make sure everything's just right. We do tend to go a little overboard trying to perfect everything."
Admission is $10, and they'll give away $250 Visa gift cards during the kickoff weekend. The event runs on weekends through Halloween.
