Waynesboro Man Arrested on 20 Child Pornography Charges

Waynesboro Police Department Press Release:
The Waynesboro Police Department has arrested a Waynesboro man on twenty felony charges related to child pornography.
On September 25, Allen Scott Wimer, 30 years old, surrendered himself at the police department on ten counts of possession of child pornography and ten counts of distribution of child pornography. Detectives with the department found the images on Wimer's computers after serving a search warrant at his residence in the 100 block of N Elkin Ave on September 3, 2013.
The Police Department began its investigation after receiving a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) taskforce.
Wimer is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
