Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office Press Release
Palmyra, Va. – The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office asks that county residents remain vigilant about a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred between Friday (September 20th) and Sunday (September 22).
The thefts occurred in various parts of the county, which include Lake Monticello (near the Slice Gate) and the northwest corridor of three area subdivisions, and the majority of the targeted items included electronic equipment and personal items that were apparently in plain view.
"We are asking all County residents to please be mindful of leaving your vehicles unlocked and leaving items in your vehicle in plain view, " said Sheriff Ryant L. Washington. " It is important that you report any suspicious activity - no matter how small it may appear."
The Sheriff's Office would like anyone who has any information about a light-colored Toyota Camry with a loud exhaust system (seen on the early morning of September 13th in the Fox Hollow subdivision) to contact Investigator David Wells.
The Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for up to $500.00 for any information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of any individuals involved with this case.
