UPDATE: Tuesday Augusta County Sheriff's Office confirms that Cheryl A. Burns, reported missing Monday, has returned to her residence safely.

Missing Person

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a female by the name of Cheryl Burns who went missing on 09-23-2013. Mrs. Burns is 53-years-old.

The woman was last seen leaving her residence on Entry School Rd. in Fishersville at around 6:45 a.m. to go to work. She is a school teacher at Cub Run Elementary in Rockingham County and never showed up for work. She left in a 2009 Subaru Impreza with Virginia tag XST-7175. The vehicle is a ‘Burnt Orange' color.

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is currently working with the Rockingham County Sheriff's office in an attempt to locate her.
