Hokie Football Hangs On to Top Marshall 29-21 in Triple OT
Logan Thomas passed for 181 yards and a TD
On a rainy day in Blacksburg, The Virginia Tech Football team's Logan Thomas ran 2 yards for a touchdown and then again for a 2-point conversion in the third overtime Saturday as the Hokies put away a messy 29-21 win against Marshall.
Tech tied the game with 3:09 left on the clock in regulation and was able to capitalize in the third overtime after both teams were unable to score in the first two.
Marshall had one final shot to score on fourth down on the Hokies 14 yard line. Rakeem Cato couldn't connect with Davonte Allen in the endzone, and the clash finally came to an end.
The Hokies improve to 3-1 and will face Georgia Tech Thursday at 7:30 at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta.
