Western Albemarle's Kent Henry Named Falcon Club Player of the Week

Posted: Updated:

Western Albemarle HS senior quarterback Kent Henry has been named the Falcon Club Player of the Week.

Henry threw five touchdown passes to five different receivers in Western Albemarle's 41-6 win over Fort Defiance on Friday.   Henry had 300 yards passing and over a hundred yards rushing.

Henry becomes the first player in the 25-year history of the Falcon Club Player of the Week Award to win it three years in a row.  Henry has been a three year starter at quarterback for Western.

Henry says, "I feel really honored but I can't really take credit because its lineman blocking, receivers getting open, and them making plays too. I'm definitely much less nervous for games now, but I still go out there and have those butterflies when I step on the field each time."

Henry has accounted for 11 touchdowns in Western Albemarle's last two games.   The Warriors have a "bye" this week.
