Two men are behind bars for charges related to a series of break-ins across the Shenandoah Valley in August.

Augusta County Sheriff's Office arrested 20-year-old Joel Deaton of Staunton and 19-year-old Troy Von Moos of Mount Sidney on the September 13.

Deaton is facing 12 charges - six breaking and entering, two petit larceny, four grand larceny. Von Moos faces 10 - five breaking and entering, two petit larceny and three grand larceny.  Deaton is also facing charges in Staunton.

Investigators say the men broke in and stole from a pool in Stuarts Draft, churches and a pizza place - Zion Lutheran Church (only Deaton), Kingdom Home, Calvary United Methodist Church, Ciro's Pizza of Mount Sidney and then Natural Chimney's visitor center in Mount Solon.

Several of the electronic items taken from these businesses and churches turned up in Rockingham in the George Washington National Forest.
