Albemarle Police Arrest Two Vehicle Vandals

Albemarle County Police Department Press Release 

The Albemarle County Police Department arrested two individuals for vandalizing vehicles and shooting BB and pellet guns into vehicles and structures.

The suspects were shooting and vandalizing vehicles from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. in the Peyton Drive area on 29 North between Hydraulic Road and Hilton Heights.  

Chanando Brown was arrested and charged with felony shooting into an occupied vehicle and felony vandalism. Robert Dyer was also charged with felony shooting into an occupied vehicle and felony vandalism. Brown and Dyer are both 19 years old. Brown is from the City of Charlottesville and Dyer is from Keswick.   

They were taken to the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail and were released on bond. Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to locate the suspects and make the arrests. Additional charges are pending.
