Madison Triple Murder Suspect found Competent to Stand Trial

Posted: Updated:

More than two years after three people were murdered in Madison County, the man accused of killing them will finally stand trial. Monday morning, a judge determined Rashad Riddick is competent to stand trial.

Riddick is accused of murdering his uncle, James Clarke Jackson, Jackson's wife Karen, and her daughter Chante Davis in February 2011. Their bodies were found on their farm in southern Madison County.

Riddick has been receiving treatment at Central State Hospital since 2012 when he refused to cooperate with authorities. He faces 11 charges, including six counts of capital murder and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

Riddick is now scheduled for arraignment and pre-trial motions in Madison County Circuit Court on October 21.
