Overnight Vandalism in Two Waynesboro Public Parks

Posted: Updated:

Vandals hit a pair of Waynesboro public parks overnight.

Police say a city employee first discovered the vandalism in Constitution Park early Sunday morning. Trash cans and benches were knocked over. Bags of litter picked up by a group of volunteers Saturday were dumped in the Dominion Pavilion. That led to the discovery of more vandalism in North Park.

Investigators estimate the vandals did about $500 worth of damage in North Park.

If you know anything about these crimes, call the police department at 540-942-6675.
