A judge ordered a man to spend 13 months locked up for shooting a teenager in the leg in Weyers Cave.
A jury found 21-year-old Jonathan Van guilty last May. Thursday, a judge handed down his sentence.
Once Van is out, he will also have three years of supervised probation followed by three years of unsupervised probation. He must complete substance abuse programs and 100 hours of community service.
Van also faces drug charges in Fairfax.
