Military Living History Event Showcases Old, New Uniforms

Posted: Updated:

A Military Living History event was held in Waynesboro's Ridgeview Park Sunday afternoon. Members from the American Honor Guard wore uniforms from Jamestown times all the way to modern day military regalia.

"World War II was a time when we were literally frightened and everyone was used in every capacity to proceed with the war," WWII veteran Homer V. Wagnon Jr. said.

The event attracted about 500 people over two days. Many of the Living History members say it's a way to teach little known details of war experiences.
