Thousands of women are picking up their packets, T-shirts and race numbers for the Charlottesville Women's Four Miler.
The racers will take off at 8 a.m. Saturday on a four-mile course at Foxfield in Albemarle County. Race directors say the run has already raised more than half of its $400,000 goal for the University of Virginia breast care program.
One-hundred volunteers are helping with packet pick-up Friday night, and 400 volunteers will help with the race Saturday.
Thirty-five-hundred women are running in the 21st annual Women's Four Miler.
