Augusta Introduces New Economic Development Director
Augusta County leaders introduced their new director of economic development Wednesday night. Amanda Glover was chosen out of more than 30 applicants.
Glover is currently the assistant director of economic development for Staunton.
"As we all know economic development is a team sport, so I'm very eager to also build relationships with who will be my fellow county staff members. It's obvious that the county has a bright future and I'm just extremely excited to be a part of that," Glover said.
Glover will assume her new role September 27 after she's moved into the county.
Larry Wills, vice chair of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, says Glover's knowledge of the area set her apart from the rest.
